This device has a 10-pin base, 9 in a ring plus one in the centre. One of the 9 outer pins is cut short, presumably as an index. This cut pin is not connected internally.

The device is not under vacuum, and is meant to be sealed onto something that is.

The centre pin is connected to a square plate in front of which is a wire (filament?) connected to individual pins. In front of this wire is a non-metallic plate which is connected at each side to two sets of pins.
