NU5 halfwave rectifier of WWII vintage. 13.5V/9.5A filament, 3kV/150mA rating. Markings on the glass are: Admiralty Pattern 7416, and Serial Number 6811C year 1943.

The filament is a classic hairpin of tungsten, connected at one end of the bulb (top in the main picture)

The filament is tensioned by a spring at the other end. Note also above and below the soldered joint between the wire and the anode.
