Myers valve

This valve measures 85x17mm overall and has two contacts at each end. One end is coloured red, the other black.

This valve has a filament rating of 2.5V/0.25A, for operation on two dry cells. the filament connections are one at each end, with the grid at one and and the anode at the other, in order to minimise the internal capacitances. The black end is the grid and one filament connection, the red end the anode and the other filament connection.

It was made by the Canadian company, E.B.Myers, of Montreal.
