This tube measures 305x85mm overall and has a 14-pin base at the gun end and 8 pins at the target end.

This is a single beam barrier-grid storage tube, a 20-volt switching signal applied at the target enables writing. The same beam is used for reading and writing and uses for it include simple analogue signal reproduction, binary digit storage with high-speed random access, signal-to-noise ratio improvement by integration of repetitive signals, and picture storage and reproduction with random access to parts of the picture.
